"I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it..." — Revelation 3:8 (KJV)
Life is filled with doors. Some doors represent opportunities, while others represent challenges or changes in direction. There are times when we pray for God to open a particular door, only to watch it remain firmly closed. In those moments, disappointment can creep into our hearts. Yet the Lord sees what we cannot see. A closed door is often as much an act of God's protection as an open door is an act of His provision.
Throughout Scripture, God directed His people by opening and closing doors. Noah entered the ark through a door that God Himself shut. Paul desired to preach in certain places, yet the Spirit redirected him to Macedonia. What appeared to be delays or detours were actually divine appointments. God's wisdom is perfect, and His guidance is never mistaken. When He opens a door, no enemy can close it. When He closes a door, no amount of human effort can force it open.
If you are standing before a closed door today, trust the Lord. Do not waste your strength trying to force what God has forbidden. Instead, seek His will and remain faithful where He has placed you. The God who closes one door is fully capable of opening another at exactly the right time. Walk forward in faith, knowing that every door He opens leads to His purpose, and every door He closes is for your good and His glory.
