We live in a hurting world filled with hurting people. Thankfully… God specializes in healing hurting people. The Bible says in Psalm 147 verse 1 – 3 “Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. 2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. 3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
The Psalmist tells us in Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
It is easy to forget that God knows everything. He knows our troubles and our triumphs. He knows our sorrows as well as our joys.
And in those times of troubles and sorrows… sometimes we just need to be reminded as Paul said in Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Have you told God lately about your troubles and sorrows? Yes… he knows them… but he reminds us… to let our request be made known unto God. James tells us “… ye have not because ye ask not.” Maybe… God is waiting on us to ask… to ask him for help.
